HOMESCHOOL PLANNER 2026–2027

The Complete Weekly & Monthly Lesson Planner, Organizer, Attendance Tracker, Grade Book, Curriculum Record, and Homeschool Record Keeper for Multiple Children

Evergreen Learning Press

INTRODUCTION

Homeschooling gives families something extraordinary: the freedom to shape education around the needs, abilities, interests, and pace of each child.

But that freedom comes with a challenge.

There is a lot to keep organized.

Lessons need to be planned. Curriculum needs to be tracked. Attendance needs to be recorded. Books need to be remembered. Grades and progress need a home. Field trips, activities, appointments, projects, and important dates all compete for attention.

And when you homeschool more than one child, keeping everything together can become a job of its own.

That is why this planner was created.

HOMESCHOOL PLANNER 2026–2027 is designed to give homeschool families one central place to plan the year, organize the weeks, track each child’s education, and preserve the records that matter.

Instead of requiring separate notebooks for lesson plans, attendance, grades, reading lists, curriculum, and activities, this planner brings those important pieces together into one organized system.

It is designed for families homeschooling one to four children, while remaining flexible enough to accommodate different ages, grade levels, subjects, curricula, and homeschooling styles.

Most importantly, this planner recognizes something every experienced homeschool parent eventually learns:

The plan and the actual day are not always the same thing.

Children move at different speeds. Lessons sometimes take longer than expected. A fascinating subject may deserve another day. Appointments happen. Beautiful weather invites an unexpected field trip. Sometimes everyone simply needs a break.

Your planner should work with your homeschool—not make you feel controlled by it.

For that reason, these pages provide room not only to plan what you intend to accomplish, but also to record what your family actually completes.

Use the pages you need. Adapt them to your family. Write generously. Change plans when necessary. Record victories along the way.

There is no single perfect way to homeschool.

There should, however, be a reliable place to keep it organized.

Welcome to your homeschool year.

Let’s make it a good one.

One homeschool year. One organized system. One place for the plans, lessons, progress, and records that matter.

PART ONE

SETTING UP YOUR HOMESCHOOL YEAR

A successful homeschool year does not require a perfect plan.

It requires a plan that fits your family.

Use this opening section to establish the basic structure of your homeschool year, identify what you want each child to accomplish, organize your curriculum and resources, and put the important information you will need throughout the year in one convenient place.

Do not feel pressured to complete every space at once. Some plans will change as the year progresses. That is normal.

This planner is designed to serve your homeschool—not control it.

1. HOW TO USE THIS PLANNER

Your homeschool is unique.

You may homeschool one child or several children. You may follow a traditional school calendar, homeschool year-round, use a four-day week, participate in a co-op, combine subjects among children, or create an entirely different schedule.

Use the pages that serve your family and adapt the system when necessary.

A SIMPLE WAY TO BEGIN

Step 1 — Set Up Your Year

Record your school-year dates, important events, holidays, breaks, and major commitments.

Step 2 — Set Up Each Student

Complete a student profile for each child and identify the major goals you hope to accomplish this year.

Step 3 — Choose Your Subjects and Curriculum

Record the subjects each child will study and the curriculum, books, programs, and resources you plan to use.

Step 4 — Plan Month by Month

Use each monthly section to identify the most important goals, lessons, activities, appointments, and events.

Step 5 — Plan Week by Week

Use the weekly pages to organize lessons and assignments while leaving room for changes.

Step 6 — Record What Actually Happened

Plans change. When they do, record what your children actually completed.

Step 7 — Keep Your Records

Throughout the year, update attendance, instructional time, grades, reading, curriculum, field trips, activities, and progress records.

Step 8 — Review and Adjust

Use the quarterly and year-end reviews to recognize progress and decide what needs to change.

REMEMBER

A planner should reduce stress—not create it.

Write in it.

Change it.

Cross things out.

Move lessons.

Take unexpected days off.

Add unexpected learning.

Your homeschool is allowed to be flexible.

22. BEFORE WE BEGIN

WHAT ARE WE MOST EXCITED ABOUT THIS YEAR?

WHAT COULD MAKE THIS YEAR DIFFICULT?

HOW CAN WE MAKE OUR HOMESCHOOL EASIER TO MANAGE?

WHAT DO WE WANT MORE OF THIS YEAR?

WHAT DO WE WANT LESS OF THIS YEAR?

ONE THING WE WILL REMEMBER WHEN THE PLAN CHANGES

OUR HOMESCHOOL YEAR BEGINS

The curriculum is chosen.

The goals are taking shape.

The calendar is ready.

But the most important part of homeschooling cannot be written into a planner before the year begins.

It will happen in ordinary days.

It will happen when a difficult lesson finally makes sense.

It will happen in conversations you never planned, books you did not expect to discover, questions that lead somewhere interesting, field trips that become favorite memories, and moments when you realize just how much your children have grown.

Use this planner to organize those days.

But leave enough room for those days to surprise you.

You are ready to begin.

PART TWO

MONTHLY & WEEKLY HOMESCHOOL PLANNING

This is where your homeschool year begins to take shape one month and one week at a time.

Use the monthly pages to see the bigger picture.

Use the weekly pages to turn that picture into lessons, assignments, activities, and experiences.

And remember: a homeschool plan is allowed to change.

There is space throughout this section to record both what you planned and what your family actually completed.

THE PLAN IS A GUIDE — THE LEARNING IS THE GOAL

Some weeks will go exactly as planned.

Others will not.

Both can be successful homeschool weeks.

The purpose of these pages is not to prove that every box was checked or every lesson happened on the day originally assigned.

The purpose is to help you know where your children are going, recognize where they have been, and preserve a useful record of the learning that happened along the way.

Plan generously.

Record accurately.

Adjust freely.

And keep moving forward.

PART THREE

ATTENDANCE & INSTRUCTION RECORDS

Homeschool families often need more than lesson plans.

They need records.

Some families track attendance because of state requirements. Others track instructional days or hours. Some simply want a reliable record showing when school took place and what kind of learning happened.

This section gives you one central place to keep those records throughout the year.

Use only the pages that apply to your homeschool.

40. ATTENDANCE & INSTRUCTION NOTES

Use these pages for anything that does not fit neatly into a checkbox or table.

KEEP A RECORD OF THE REAL HOMESCHOOL

A homeschool day is not defined only by sitting at a desk.

A museum visit can teach history.

A garden can teach science.

Cooking can teach mathematics, reading, planning, and life skills.

A library trip can lead to hours of independent learning.

A conversation can become a lesson.

A difficult assignment that takes two days instead of one is still learning.

Use these records to capture the education that actually happened.

The goal is not to make every day look identical.

The goal is to preserve a clear, useful record of your child’s learning and progress throughout the year.

PART FOUR

INDIVIDUAL STUDENT RECORDS

Every child has a different homeschool year.

Different strengths.

Different challenges.

Different books.

Different projects.

Different accomplishments.

This section gives each student a dedicated place for the records that belong specifically to them.

Use one complete Student Record section for each child you homeschool.

ONE CHILD — ONE STORY OF PROGRESS

A grade can tell you how a student performed on an assignment.

It cannot tell the whole story of a homeschool year.

It cannot show the day a struggling reader finished a book independently.

It cannot fully capture the project that began with one question and turned into a week of discovery.

It cannot measure every new skill, growing interest, difficult concept overcome, or moment when a child became more confident and independent.

That is why these records include more than grades.

Use them to preserve the measurable progress.

But also preserve the growth that cannot be reduced to a number.

At the end of the year, you should be able to open this section and see something valuable:

the educational story of each individual child.

PART FIVE

CURRICULUM & LEARNING RECORDS

Homeschooling rarely happens through one textbook alone.

Families use books, workbooks, online courses, videos, documentaries, library resources, projects, experiments, field trips, co-ops, educational websites, hands-on activities, and independent study.

This section gives you one place to record those resources and experiences.

Use these pages throughout the year so you do not have to reconstruct everything later.

88. LEARNING DOES NOT FIT INTO ONE BOX

The curriculum matters.

But curriculum is only one part of education.

Children learn when they read.

They learn when they build.

They learn when they experiment.

They learn when they travel.

They learn when they cook, repair, create, explore, research, volunteer, ask questions, and follow an interest far enough to discover something new.

Use these pages to preserve that wider picture.

At the end of the year, you should be able to look back and see not only what curriculum was purchased—but how your children actually learned.

PART SIX

FLEXIBLE HOMESCHOOL PLANNING

Homeschool plans change.

A child may need more time in math.

A book may take longer than expected.

A family event may interrupt the week.

A curriculum may not fit as well as you hoped.

A field trip may become the best learning experience of the month.

A flexible planner gives you room to adjust without losing your place.

Use this section whenever you need to reorganize, catch up, change direction, or simply make the plan fit your family better.

89. LOOP SCHEDULING PLANNER

Loop scheduling can help when you have subjects or activities you want to complete regularly without assigning each one to a specific weekday.

Instead of saying, “Science must happen on Tuesday,” place subjects in an order and move to the next item each time you complete one.

113. FLEXIBLE PLANNING NOTES

Use these pages for moved lessons, schedule ideas, curriculum changes, questions, and anything else your homeschool needs.

FLEXIBILITY IS PART OF THE PLAN

Changing the plan is not the same as failing to follow the plan.

Sometimes changing direction is exactly what good teaching requires.

If a child needs another day, take another day.

If a child already understands the material, move forward.

If a curriculum is not working, change it.

If an unexpected opportunity appears, consider taking it.

If everyone needs a lighter week, make the week lighter.

Your planner should help you make wise adjustments without losing sight of the larger goals.

The schedule is a tool.

The education of your children is the purpose.

PART SEVEN

PROGRESS REVIEWS

Homeschool progress is easier to recognize when you stop long enough to look for it.

A child may be moving quickly in one subject and slowly in another.

A curriculum may be working beautifully.

A schedule may need adjustment.

A new interest may be emerging.

A struggle may need more attention.

These review pages are designed to help you notice those things during the year—not only after the year is over.

Use them at the end of each quarter or approximately every 12–13 weeks.

FAVORITE MEMORY FROM THIS PERIOD

PROGRESS DOES NOT ALWAYS LOOK THE SAME

Some progress is easy to measure.

A child moves to the next math level.

A reading list grows.

A course is completed.

A test score improves.

Other progress is quieter.

A child begins working independently.

A difficult subject causes less frustration.

A reluctant reader discovers a book they love.

A student asks better questions.

A child becomes willing to try again after making a mistake.

Both kinds of progress matter.

Use these reviews to make adjustments where necessary—but also use them to recognize how far your children have already come.

PART EIGHT

END-OF-YEAR RECORDS

The school year is ending.

The lessons have been taught.

The books have been read.

The plans have changed.

The children have grown.

Now it is time to gather the important records in one place.

Use this section to summarize the year, preserve the information that matters, and prepare for the next homeschool year.

ONE SENTENCE THAT DESCRIBES THIS HOMESCHOOL YEAR

THE YEAR IS MORE THAN THE RECORD

A completed planner can tell you how many days you taught.

It can tell you which books were read.

It can show grades, curriculum, projects, attendance, and progress.

Those records matter.

But they are not the entire homeschool year.

The year also lives in conversations around the table.

It lives in questions asked in the car.

It lives in the moment a difficult concept finally clicked.

It lives in the book a child did not want to put down.

It lives in projects spread across the kitchen table.

It lives in field trips, experiments, mistakes, laughter, frustration, persistence, and discovery.

At the beginning of the year, these pages were empty.

Now they hold a record of growth.

Take time to recognize what your family accomplished.

Then close this year with gratitude—and carry what you learned into the next one.

PART NINE

EXTRA PLANNING & RECORD PAGES

No two homeschool years are exactly alike.

Some families need more weekly planning pages.

Some need extra reading logs.

Some need additional grade sheets, curriculum records, project pages, or space for notes.

This section gives you extra room so the planner can continue serving your family without forcing you into a fixed number of pages.

Use these pages whenever you need them.

YOUR HOMESCHOOL — YOUR PLANNER

A useful homeschool planner should never make you feel trapped by its pages.

It should give you enough structure to stay organized and enough flexibility to adapt when your family needs something different.

Use these extra pages freely.

Duplicate what works.

Ignore what you do not need.

Add your own system.

Change your routine.

Record the things that matter most.

This planner was designed to give you one organized place for the plans, lessons, records, progress, experiences, and memories that make up a homeschool year.

But the planner is still only a tool.

The real work happens in your home.

The real learning happens in your children.

And the real success of the year will never be measured only by how many pages were completed.

It will be seen in how much your children learned, how much they grew, and how well your homeschool served the family you were building it for.

HAVE A GREAT HOMESCHOOL YEAR

RECORDS LOCATION

BEFORE YOU CLOSE THIS PLANNER

At the beginning of the year, you had plans.

Some worked exactly as expected.

Some changed.

Some disappeared completely.

And some of the best learning probably happened in ways you never planned.

That is homeschooling.

This planner was never meant to make every family follow the same schedule.

It was designed to give you a place to organize your homeschool.

Your children.

Your curriculum.

Your schedule.

Your records.

Your goals.

Your discoveries.

Your memories.

Keep what worked.

Learn from what did not.

Celebrate the progress.

And when the next school year begins, start again with something you did not have when this year began:

experience.

THANK YOU

Thank you for allowing Evergreen Learning Press to be part of your homeschool year.

May this planner help you spend less time wondering where everything is—and more time doing what matters most:

helping your children learn, grow, discover, and become increasingly capable learners.

Evergreen Learning Press

PART ELEVEN

THE COMPLETE 52-WEEK HOMESCHOOL PLANNER

This section is the working center of your homeschool year.

Each week provides space to plan what you hope to accomplish, organize lessons for up to four children, record what was actually completed, and move unfinished work forward without losing track of it.

The goal is not to create a perfect week.

The goal is to keep your homeschool organized while allowing real life to happen.

WEEK 52 — LOOKING BACK

SOMETHING WE LEARNED THIS YEAR THAT WE WILL NEVER FORGET

SOMETHING THAT WAS HARD

SOMETHING THAT BECAME EASIER

SOMETHING WE ARE PROUD OF

OUR FAVORITE MEMORY

OUR HOMESCHOOL YEAR IN ONE SENTENCE

THE COMPLETE 52-WEEK SYSTEM

In the finished printed planner, all 52 weeks receive their own complete working pages.

No parent will be told to photocopy pages.

No parent will be told to create the missing weeks.

No customer will receive a shortened sample of the planner.

The physical planner will contain the complete year.

Every week will provide enough space to:

  • plan the family schedule,
  • organize lessons,
  • manage up to four children,
  • document attendance,
  • record instructional time,
  • track completed work,
  • move unfinished lessons,
  • record unexpected learning,
  • and preserve weekly progress.

That is what makes this a true year-long homeschool planning system rather than a collection of sample worksheets.

ONE WEEK AT A TIME

A homeschool year can look enormous when viewed all at once.

Fifty-two weeks.

Hundreds of lessons.

Dozens of books.

Projects.

Field trips.

Appointments.

Activities.

Good days.

Hard days.

Unexpected days.

But a homeschool year is never lived all at once.

It is lived one day and one week at a time.

Use these pages the same way.

Plan the week in front of you.

Teach the children in front of you.

Record what happened.

Adjust what needs changing.

Then turn the page and begin again.

PART TWELVE

THE COMPLETE 2026–2027 MONTHLY HOMESCHOOL PLANNER

A year becomes easier to manage when you can see the larger picture before you begin planning individual weeks.

Each month in this section gives you space to organize:

  • important dates,
  • family priorities,
  • curriculum goals,
  • individual student goals,
  • appointments,
  • co-op activities,
  • field trips,
  • books,
  • projects,
  • supplies,
  • and work that needs to move forward.

Use the monthly pages together with the 52-week planning system to keep both the big picture and the everyday details in view.

MOST IMPORTANT THING TO REMEMBER

MONTH BY MONTH

A successful homeschool year does not require every month to look alike.

Some months will be full.

Some will be lighter.

Some will include travel, holidays, illness, projects, field trips, or unexpected changes.

The purpose of these monthly pages is to keep the larger direction visible while leaving enough room for your family to adjust.

Look ahead.

Plan what matters.

Leave room for change.

Review what happened.

Then begin the next month with what you learned from the one before it.

PART THIRTEEN

COMPLETE GRADEBOOK & PERMANENT STUDENT RECORDS

This section is designed to give each student a dedicated academic record for the full homeschool year.

Use these pages for:

  • course tracking,
  • grades,
  • evaluations,
  • reading,
  • completed curriculum,
  • major projects,
  • quarter summaries,
  • final academic records,
  • and information you may want to preserve after the school year ends.

A RECORD WORTH KEEPING

A planner is useful during the year.

A permanent record becomes valuable after the year is over.

These pages are designed to give you a clear academic summary for each child without requiring you to rebuild the year from memory.

Record the grades that matter.

Record the books.

Record the curriculum.

Record the progress.

Record the accomplishments.

Years from now, these pages can still show where each child was, what they studied, and how much they grew.

PART FOURTEEN

PORTFOLIO, ASSESSMENT & LEARNING DOCUMENTATION

A homeschool year produces more than lesson plans and grades.

Children write.

They solve problems.

They create projects.

They conduct experiments.

They read books.

They develop skills.

They participate in activities.

They visit places.

They improve.

And sometimes the most meaningful evidence of learning cannot be reduced to a single grade.

This section gives you a place to document that growth.

Use the pages that fit your homeschool and ignore the ones you do not need.

LEARNING LEAVES EVIDENCE

Not everything a child learns will appear on a test.

Sometimes learning appears in a paragraph that is clearer than the one written six months earlier.

Sometimes it appears in a math problem the child can finally solve without help.

Sometimes it appears in a science experiment, a painting, a presentation, a project, a conversation, or a newly mastered life skill.

Those moments are worth noticing.

You do not have to save everything.

Save enough to tell the story.

At the end of the year, the goal of a portfolio is not to prove that every day was perfect.

It is to preserve evidence that learning happened.

Progress deserves to be remembered.

MASTER HOMESCHOOL RECORDS INDEX

A large homeschool planner is only useful if you can quickly find what you need.

Use this section as your personal index.

As you complete the planner, write the page number beside important records so you can return to them without searching through the entire book.

257. NOTES ABOUT OUR RECORDS

A PLANNER YOU CAN ACTUALLY FIND YOUR WAY THROUGH

A complete planner contains a lot of information.

That is a strength only if the information remains easy to find.

Use this index throughout the year.

Add page numbers as records are completed.

Mark the pages you return to most often.

By the end of the year, this section becomes a personalized map of your family’s entire homeschool record.

The goal is simple:

When you need a record, you should know exactly where to find it.
